First Blog

I have a BA in Criminal Justice and just completed the Alternative Certification Program in Special Education, and now am completing my Masters program. This is my fourth year working at the Alternative Center for Education in Florence, Kentucky. I am responsible for the female population middle-high school and Special Ed students. I love my job. I have two children and a cat (actually my daughters cat.) I have attended NKU since 2002 and hope to finish in May of 2010. Hopefully, the classes I need to continue my Rank I will be offered at this University and I can finish those as well without going to another university. I am a determined and dedicated individual. Blogging is new to me-I must admit I was intimidated! But, as I tell my girls "Failure is not trying."

    Good for you for trying something new- it is new to me too and I am certainly not a "tech savy" person so this is a learning curve for me as well. Your job sounds really interesting- I will be eager to hear more about it and the work you do over this semester.
